Bronfman E.L. Rothschild Administrative Assistant Krista Schliepp has always looked for ways to volunteer. After years supporting the American Cancer Society and coordinating its Ripon Relay for Life event, Krista organized an office community service project for the American Cancer Society and its efforts during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The project sparked a new community involvement service model.
“Every month, we come together to support a different organization,” explained Krista. “In October, we raised money for the American Cancer Society. For November, we participated in Baker Tilly’s Food Drive. Bronfman E.L Rothschild helped sponsor the event and we provided cash and two cart loads of food to the Salvation Army.”
The office’s December project is focused on assisting Appleton’s Homeless Connection organization by bringing in home goods to help meet a list of ongoing needs. Tammy Lenzner, Bronfman E.L. Rothschild Client Support Coordinator, is a regular volunteer for this organization, and like Krista, is pleased to see such positive support from her coworkers.
“We feel good knowing we are helping others feel good,” said Krista. “Doing service together has afforded us a sense of comradery. We truly enjoy serving our community and doing it as a team.”
