Senior Manager Lona Ebert Supports the Kaukauna Community
Braving the “frozen tundra” in support of the nonprofit Kaukauna Area Recreation Music and Activities (K.A.R.M.A.) is Bronfman E.L. Rothschild Senior Manager Lona Ebert. As a founding member and current board secretary, Lona leverages her skills as a CPA to help the organization assist the Kaukauna community.

“I became involved with K.A.R.M.A after someone in the community reached out to me seeking my accounting skills,” explained Ebert. “The newly formed organization needed assistance getting an employer identification number and obtaining 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. Since I live in Kaukauna and several of our clients are located there, I thought this would be a good opportunity to further engage with the community and use my professional knowledge in a new and challenging way.”

Founded in 2013, K.A.R.M.A. aims to foster community pride and business awareness through family-oriented events. The nonprofit also helps fund trips for youth groups, scholarships for private music lessons, and projects supporting community infrastructure.

To support these efforts, Lona has obtained funding from local clients and organized a fundraising festival. Additionally, she and several other K.A.R.M.A. board members work concessions at Lambeau Field in exchange for a donation to the organization.
